This unit is designed to accelerate product deterioration. Equipped with a forced hot air circulation control system, the oven ensures uniform temperature distribution inside the chamber.
It simulates UV radiation from sunlight. Specimens are subjected to combined UV light irradiation and thermal effect inside the chamber. After a certain test period, the degree of yellowing or fading of specimens can be observed. The grey scale standard can be used for comparison to determine the yellowing grade. It reproduces color defects occurring from sunlight exposure during end use or container transportation.
Fitted with a 300 W UV bulb, the tester shortens experiment duration. It can be used for basic yellowing resistance test, and also serves as an aging tester and drying oven for multi purpose application.
Aging Mode This mode accelerates product deterioration. One day test at 70 °C is theoretically equivalent to 6 month exposure in natural atmosphere.
Yellowing Resistance Mode This mode simulates appearance change caused by solar UV radiation under natural environment. A 9 hour test at 50 °C is theoretically equivalent to 6 month exposure in natural atmosphere.
